For some styles they use a material produced out of Japan that is made from recycled industrial waste. During the process of making a television screen a layer of polyester is scrapped off. This would normally be industrial waste. Olsen Haus goes in retrieves the waste and creates a non-woven polyester material called ambiance ultra-suede.
The new material created is color-fast, water resistant, won't crack or peel. It is very durable, is great for shoes and has been used for car interiors and furniture as well.
