These short hiker boots by Hearts of Darkness are adorable! Simple and stylish and comfy, I will pair these with oversize vintage Levis and a snug cableknit sweater for downtown weekend pavement pounding. I love them because unlike so many vegan shoes, they are neither over designed- with buckles and bows and studs, trying to incorporate every last trend- or simple and clog like, looking like they are exclusively for the tree-hugging set. (no offense. I am the first to get in line to hug a tree. But hippie-chic, while a great look, is not my style. And it tends to dominate ethically responsible fashion.)Studies show that spontanaity is good for your health.
